The Gronthee is hosting a series of virtual sessions on world literature that is being begun with Latin American Literature on this Saturday 27 March at 2pm (UK). The session is streaming live on Gronthee’s Facebook and YouTube Page.
Collaborating with Saudha Society of Poetry & Indian Music, a leading platform for the promotion of Indian classical and global music, La Ninfa Eco and RadhaRaman Society, the session is featuring leading writers, poets and academics from Latin America and some speakers will join from India and Bangladesh as well.

Poet T M Ahmed Kaysher, the curator of the session said, “the session entailed an in-depth talk on contemporary trends of post-boom literature, its tradition, continuation and common trend of Latin American magic realism along with reading from contemporary writers and poets.”
An award-winning Uruguayan poet and academic, Roberto Echavarren, a prominent Argentine poet, the one who was awarded “Compagnon de la Poesie” by French La Porte des Poetes association, Luis Benítez, an academic of Spanish literature Dr Luis González-Barrios, a Peruvian poet Dr Enrique Bernales Albites, a Colombian poet and academic Ana Lopez H, an Argentine poet, essayist and researcher Romina Freschi, a Chilean poet Carlos Reyes Manzo, a Mexican poet Rossana Camarena and a British Argentine poet, the founder of La Ninfa Eco, Gaby Sambuccetti, will join the session and talk on Latin American literature as a whole as well as read from their own poetry and prose. A poet and essayist Sajjad Sharif from Bangladesh, literary theorist and poet Tapodhir Bhattacharjee from India will join this virtual session, too, to talk about their own experiences of reading Latin American literature.
